We are looking for a dedicated Wheels & Brakes Fitter to join our Engineering Overhaul Workshop team at ADA and contribute to our operational excellence.
Contract Type: Permanent, 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable and responsible to carry out overhaul, repair, replacement, modification and scheduled inspection of helicopter / fixed wing landing gear components in accordance with manufacturer’s manual and company standard operating procedures.
- In the process of carrying out required tasks, is also expected to work alongside with Supervisor in charge, to support on-time performance standards; take necessary corrective actions resulting from internal / external quality audits and provide assistance with regards to trouble shooting and recurrent technical problems.
- Carries out schedule maintenance and out of phase defect rectification on landing gear components within ADA.
- Ensures that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved Company, manufacturer and Airworthiness Authority published manuals, Procedures and Regulations.
- Ensures that all maintenance and defect rectification is carried out to the relevant design and quality standards.
- Maintains a current technical understanding and working knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures.
- Ensures that any area for which he is responsible is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
- Ensures tools are maintained in a serviceable condition and are uniquely identified and registered with the Quality department.
- Reports for duty in accordance with any publish work roster.
- Performs any other duties assigned by his respective supervisor.
- Familiarizes himself with and adhere to Company Procedures and Policies in order to meet all anticipated operation requirements in a cost-effective manner
- Adheres to ADA followed laws and procedures and Engineering Director’s Memos
What We’re Looking For:
- Graduate Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
- Possess FAA A & P Mechanic License will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience preferably on AW139, AW169 & DHC 8 wheels & brakes
- Attended approved wheels & brakes Training in manufacturer’s approved facility
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and RUSADA.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective problem solving abilities
