Role Description The Рударски инженер/ка – Раководител/ка на смена во Флотација (Mining Engineer – Shift Supervisor in Flotation) is a full-time, on-site role located in Skopje. The role involves supervising daily flotation plant operations, coordinating shift activities, and ensuring adherence to production plans, safety standards, and environmental regulations. The shift supervisor monitors process parameters, optimizes ore processing and concentrate quality, and coordinates maintenance and technical support during the shift. The person in this role leads and mentors shift personnel, organizes work schedules, and ensures clear communication between production teams, maintenance, and management. Daily tasks also include preparing shift reports, tracking performance indicators, and contributing to continuous improvement of technological processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Relevant university degree in mining engineering, mineral processing, chemical engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Experience in flotation, mineral processing, or mining operations, preferably in a supervisory or shift leader role.
- Strong knowledge of process control, production planning, and basic maintenance principles in a plant environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, organize shift work, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues and optimize processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and operational departments.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, handle rotating shifts if required, and make decisions under time pressure.
- Familiarity with industrial reporting tools, basic computer literacy (MS Office), and readiness to learn mine-specific software systems.
- Previous experience in large-scale industrial or mining projects and knowledge of local regulatory requirements are an advantage.
