Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Cosmetic Formulation R&D Engineer based in Paris, with flexibility for some work from home. The R&D Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing innovative cosmetic formulations. Responsibilities also include sourcing raw materials, optimizing formulation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated on industry trends to continuously improve product quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of formulation techniques, emulsion systems, and raw material applications
- Proficient in laboratory practices, testing methods, and quality assurance for cosmetic product development
- Understanding of cosmetics regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and innovate based on emerging trends
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, creativity, and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the cosmetics or personal care industry is a strong advantage
