We are looking for a Director of Operations & Delivery – Calgary, AB
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing operations, project execution, logistics, inventory management, and engineering support while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and delivery performance across the organization.
What We Expect?
- Bachelor’s degree with a technical background required.
- 5+ years in a similar operational leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team development experience.
- Background in manufacturing, operations, logistics, or industrial/technology-driven industries.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP is an asset).
- Strong communication, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge is an asset.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize all operational activities across production, logistics, inventory management, project execution, and engineering support functions.
- Establish, monitor, and achieve KPIs related to operational efficiency, quality, delivery performance, capacity planning, inventory control, and cost management.
- Oversee full project execution from handover through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, within scope, and to customer quality expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations and project delivery by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, productivity, technology utilization, and operational scalability.
- Collaborate closely with sales, engineering/design, project management, logistics, and leadership teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution across departments.
- Develop and maintain operational structures, processes, procedures, and governance standards that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Lead resource planning, scheduling, risk management, escalation management, and operational decision-making to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, environmental regulations, health & safety requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop departmental teams while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
