Position: Electrical Design Engineer Rocket Company
Take on a vital role as the first Electrical Design Engineer with Canada Rocket Company, leading the design of flight-grade electrical systems. This is a senior, hands-on position focusing on innovative, scalable solutions.
In this foundational role, you will develop high-reliability electrical hardware for Canada’s first medium-lift rocket, the R1. Your expertise will support complex, safety-critical systems including power distribution and sensor integration. As the electrical team grows, you’ll establish standards and processes to ensure successful hardware delivery and scalable designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define electrical architectures for complex, safety-critical systems
• Execute full lifecycle development of electronic components
• Build design processes, tools, and documentation standards
• Provide production support for launch vehicle avionics
• Develop, test, and characterize electronic sub-circuits
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
• 5+ years designing, building, or testing electronics
• Proven hardware design from concept to production
• Understanding of circuit design principles and SMT techniques
• Familiarity with power supplies and instrumentation
