Energy Engineer Jobs in United States at SourceFactor

Title: Energy Engineer

Company: SourceFactor

Location: United States

SourceFactor's client is an Energy Engineering consulting company focused on providing energy management solutions to large industrial / manufacturing clients nationwide. They work with some of the largest manufacturers in the US, and their work is full lifecycle – they don't just audit and provide ECM recommendations. They do a deep dive, identify opportunities for energy savings, and then manage the projects through to completion.

This role is for an experienced / Senior Energy Engineer / Energy Manager with a strong focus on and significant experience in the large industrial / manufacturing space. We're looking for a candidate with extensive energy engineering experience at manufacturing facilities.

This opportunity is unique because it's highly technical and specific to large manufacturing. If you have been an Energy Manager for a large manufacturer, and would like to continue to grow your career and use your experience to identify and implement cost savings measures for some major organizations, let's talk. Note that it's highly technical. This role isn't really a fit for someone who is more interested in managing a team. This is a hands-on technical role that will visit sites for auditing and then manage projects through to completion. Travel is potentially up to 50% considering site visits, and work from home when not visiting a client site.

We consider this role ideal for someone who has been in an energy manager role for a manufacturing company and has growth frustrated with the lack of career growth available for someone who wants to be hands on. If you feel like you've hit a ceiling unless you move into a management role and hate the idea of not being hands on, this could be a great move for you.

General Qualifications required for this role:

  • BS in a related engineering discipline: Energy, Mechanical, Chemical, Architectural, etc.
  • 7 or more years of relevant engineering experience, with a heavy emphasis on energy engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ASHRAE audits up to level III / Investment Grade Audits, specifically for manufacturing facilities
  • MUST have a background in energy engineering specifically in a large manufacturing environment, where you know all about things like compressed air systems and steam traps!

All candidates must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
