Job Summary:
The Engineer, NOC is responsible for ensuring continuous network operation and customer support on a 24×7 roster schedule. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, resolving network issues, and maintaining maximum service availability while documenting and updating all incidents and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor main AC power, rectifiers, DC power systems, batteries generator, facilities element aircon alarm, temperature, external alarm and etc…
- Track power alarm as AC failure, DC low voltage, battery discharge, rectifier failure, generator faults and facilities alarm.
- Perform first basic identification and troubleshooting for power/facilities alarm
- Escalate to field maintenance, facilities teas and L2/L3 engineering when required
- Incident ticket creation, follow-up and update the progress then close ticket following SLA commitment
- Prioritize alerts based on severity and impact on business operations.
- Maintain the network operation healthy and securely.
- NMS alert system to respond to incident on time.
- Ensure network incident notice and minimize impact businesses.
- Day-to-day technical monitoring and maintaining
- Receive documents and record all incidents notification in system.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in fiber networks and SDH/DWDM transmission.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 switching and IP routing (BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, ISIS).
- Understanding of optical fiber testing and transmission tools.
- Experience in troubleshooting network and customer issues.
- Good English communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on a 24/7 shift schedule.
