Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Furniture Technical Office Engineer, located in New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. The Furniture Technical Office Engineer prepares shop drawings, production drawings, material specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs) for furniture projects. The role ensures that designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with client requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts specialized in Furniture design or a related field
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in furniture design and technical office work for wooden and metal works
- Excellent proficiency in CAD software and other design programs
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and joineries
- Ability to create technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Passion for the furniture industry and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
