Scope of Role
We are looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer, specializing in the design, integration, and optimization of hydraulic systems for large mining loaders and haul trucks.
Area of Responsibility
- Design components and sub-systems for Hydraulic system in industrial machine.
- Lead design reviews and resolve technical design conflicts.
- Assess buildability, manufacturability and integration
- Design hose routing in 3D machine designs environment. Analyze and read Hydraulic system designs and validate component specifications
- Collaborates with powertrain, structures, and controls teams, supports supplier development, cost reduction initiatives, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with global safety and quality standards
- Performs self-check or cross-check for the calculation of tolerances and dimensions made by other designers, including the application of client requirements etc.
- Assist in establishing design completion dates.
- Perform all other duties as needed.
Knowledge / Experience
- 4-6 years of design experience with Heavy Machinery Industry
- Good experience in Hydraulic Routing with integration with machine design
- Experience with PLM Data Management tools preferably Teamcenter and Creo CAD tools
- Experience using Creo software for design of assembly, models and drawings.
- Exposure to visual checks and validation of subsystem to overall machine designs
- Ability to design light to heavy structural component
- Should be able to support suppliers with builds, support fitness checks.
- Experience with updating specification and engineering standard work documentation
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Creo tools with additional knowledge on Creo Piping.
