Position: Junior Mine Planning Engineer Role
Support open pit mining efficiency as a junior Mine Planning Engineer. Engage in planning and scheduling to ensure safety and improve operational performance through effective collaboration.
In this position, you will focus on developing 0–12 month mine plans while mentoring junior team members. Collaborate with various teams to implement improved planning strategies and ensure compliance with safety standards. Your ability to analyze performance and optimize operational outcomes will be crucial in this site-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing mine plans for operational targets
• Monitor and adjust performance metrics accordingly
• Collaborate with geology and geotechnical teams
• Support compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Prepare and present monthly reports to leadership
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• Eligible for P.Eng. registration in Ontario
• 0–3 years in an open pit mining setting
• Familiarity with Hexagon mining software is beneficial
• Strong planning and organizational skills
