Job Summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support a leading manufacturing client in Eagle, Wisconsin. This is a hands-on role focused on developing and optimizing fabrication processes, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), integrating new fabrication equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing engineering, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Work directly with new and existing fabrication equipment to establish operating parameters and improve production efficiency.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, throughput, and consistency.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new fabrication equipment.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and process reliability.
  • Support Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects by providing technical expertise for equipment selection and process implementation.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and fabrication process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train production personnel on SOPs, work instructions, and equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in welding and fabrication environments.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience creating SOPs and detailed work instructions.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting CapEx projects related to manufacturing or fabrication equipment.
  • Strong hands-on experience working with fabrication equipment on the production floor.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and production optimization.
  • Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively across departments.
