Role Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Plant Manager provides overall leadership and operational oversight for the Penang and Taiwan factories . The role focuses on efficiency, on‑time delivery, cost optimization, and operational excellence, while coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage production operations, supply chain, logistics, and technology development across two factories.
- Drive continuous improvement using Toolbox and Lean Manufacturing methods.
- Oversee manufacturing efficiency, cost structure, lead times, and asset utilization.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, quality management systems, and customer requirements.
- Develop and mentor operations staff, fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative culture.
- Monitor and report on budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and capital expenditures.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Facilities, HR, Finance, Sales).
Job requirements
- 10+ years in production/plant management, with 5+ years at senior level.
- Proven leadership in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and logistics.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, Lean, and operational excellence.
- Experience in precision instrumentation or semiconductor support industries preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malay.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Prior experience in a multinational manufacturing environment is advantageous.
