About the role
Spray Drying and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is a food and nutraceutical ingredient manufacturer specialising in spray drying, encapsulation, and CDMO services. As we scale toward multi-plant operations, we’re creating a systems-and-operations role to strengthen our production function. This is not a hands-on line-operator role — you won’t run daily batches. Instead, you’ll own the operating system around production: planning, data, compliance, root-cause analysis, and audits, working directly under the Production HOD.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production plans against orders, CDMO commitments, and dispatch schedules
• Own shop-floor data integrity and build production MIS (yield, OEE, downtime, rejection, cost of production)
• Ensure processes run strictly to SOP; champion GMP, GHP, and 5S discipline daily
• Provide technical oversight of spray dryer operations and critical process parameters
• Lead structured root-cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA) for every breakdown and deviation, and drive CAPA to closure
• Conduct food-safety hazard and risk analysis in support of the HACCP / FSSC 22000 plan
• Plan and conduct internal audits of the production department and maintain audit readiness
• Coordinate with Quality and Regulatory teams on documentation, deviations, and compliance
• Deliver GMP and area-ownership training; build operator skill matrices
• Drive continuous-improvement projects and help standardise processes for future plants
Qualifications
• B.Tech / B.E. in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 4–7 years in food / nutraceutical / process manufacturing (spray drying or powder processing preferred)
• Hands-on experience with FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 / HACCP and internal/external audits
Skills & competencies
• Strong grasp of food-safety systems and regulatory documentation
• RCA and problem-solving tools; comfort with OEE, yield, and cost analysis
• Advanced Excel / MIS ability; familiarity with ERP data structures
• Ownership, discipline, and the ability to influence without direct authority
• Clear communication and reporting, on the floor and to leadership
