What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage complex power systems studies, including:
- Arc Flash Hazard Analysis (NFPA 70E)
- Short Circuit & Load Flow Studies
- Protective Device Coordination
- Review, validate, and finalize models, results, and technical reports.
- Serve as a client liaison for project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers through technical challenges and project execution.
- Ensure all studies comply with IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and internal QA/QC standards.
- Support system commissioning and provide field-based technical guidance.
- Conduct or contribute to internal and external training sessions.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- Licensed PE in Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity (required)
- 8+ years of direct experience in power system analysis and design
- Proficiency with one or more of the following: ETAP, SKM Power Tools, Easy Power
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and NEC
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage in a technical setting
- Effective communicator with clients, internal teams, and field personnel
Preferred Experience
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- NETA affiliation or exposure to NETA testing standards
- Familiarity with industrial, utility, and mission-critical infrastructure environments
- Experience conducting QA/QC reviews and technical training
