Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced senior engineering analyst with expertise in FEA and/or CFD modelling to join our growing and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality simulation and analysis services to our clients across various industries, contributing to the success of their projects and driving innovation. Exposure and expertise in machine learning (ML) would also be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute FEA and CFD simulations for a wide array of industries, including but not limited to energy, oil & gas, aerospace, marine, automotive, manufacturing, and marine.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their engineering challenges, provide expert guidance, and develop simulation strategies that address their needs.
  • Analyse and interpret simulation data to provide actionable recommendations for design improvements, performance enhancements, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and implement advanced simulation techniques, methodologies, and best practices to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of analysis processes.
  • Prepare clear, professional technical reports and present simulation findings and engineering recommendations confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software advancements in the field of numerical simulation.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, Aerospace, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in performing FEA and or CFD simulations 
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard software tools such as STAR-CCM+, Abaqus, ANSYS or Nastran
  • Strong knowledge of solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, structural mechanics, and numerical methods
  • Knowledge of ASME FFS-1/API-579-1 and ASME-VIII-Div II Fitness for Service and pressure equipment codes
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret simulation data and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with accurate prediction of component life and structural margins, including creep, fatigue and fracture mechanics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex engineering challenges with creativity
  • Effective written and verbal communication
