Role Description The Senior Executive – Maintenance & Utility will oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of all plant utilities and machinery at the Dhaka site in an on-site, full-time capacity. This role includes planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, and utility systems to ensure minimal downtime and safe, efficient operations. The Senior Executive will monitor utility consumption, troubleshoot breakdowns, coordinate with production and other departments, and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors as needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining maintenance logs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, supporting audits and inspections, and recommending improvements for equipment reliability and energy efficiency. The position requires close collaboration with management to plan maintenance budgets, support new equipment installation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance and utilities, including mechanical, electrical, and utility systems (e.g., generators, boilers, compressors, HVAC, water treatment).
- Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, troubleshooting equipment issues, and minimizing machine downtime in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations, with a demonstrated ability to enforce safe work practices and support compliance during inspections and audits.
- Proficiency in using maintenance documentation and tools, such as maintenance logs, work orders, basic CMMS/ERP systems, and equipment manuals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple maintenance activities, and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Effective communication and team leadership abilities, including supervising technicians, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and reporting clearly to management.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related technical field); relevant maintenance certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in garments, textiles, or similar high-volume manufacturing industries will be considered an added benefit.
