Role:
Senior Water Resources Engineer (Vancouver office)
Our focus is on the application of critical thinking to the management of mine waste and water.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with clients, colleagues, and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis including flood mapping, water balance analysis, and hydraulic modelling
- Incorporate climate change resiliency in hydrological and hydraulic analysis
- Support mine water management design and optimization
- Build client rapport as projects progress from feasibility through to mine closure
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate water management systems into overall design and operation
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and other documentation related to water resources engineering
Qualifications
- A degree in civil engineering; a master’s degree is an asset
- 15+ years of civil design experience related to surface water controls (preferably in mining or related industries) with a record of continual development
- Eligibility to register as a professional engineer in Canada
- Experience in hydrotechnical design analyses (e.g., water balance, open channel flow, erosion protection)
- Ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Ability to multi‑task, maintain flexibility, high degree of organization, and work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline‑driven environment
- Effective written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Experience in a safety‑focused environment with near‑miss and incident reporting requirements

Salary and Benefits
Salary: $110,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience, education, and skill level.
