What To Expect
As a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer within the cell quality structure, you will lead the continuous improvement efforts for COPQ and MRB. This role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to quickly and accurately identify the root cause of non-conformances, ensuring the proper disposition of suspect parts. You will work closely with various departments, including Quality Engineering, Production, Process Engineering, Material Planning, Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality Engineering, and Supplier Industrialization Engineering.
What You’ll Do
Collaborating on Cross-Functional Investigations: Support cross-functional teams in investigating suspect components and parts
Technical Root-Cause Analysis: Lead technical root-cause analysis for Cell shops
Project Leadership for Testing Equipment Development: Lead projects aimed at launching and enhancing test equipment for component investigations
8 waste reduction: Lead cross function workshops on waste elimination in the production and quality process
Engineering Project Leadership: Lead and manage engineering projects to ensure effective delivery of technical solutions
Led cross-team cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and delivering measurable reductions in spend while improving operational efficiency
Process Definition and Standardization: Define processes and create standards for MRB, COPQ, and escalation procedures
Q Team Steering: Build a process to align the quality team and departments toward a shared understanding and prioritization of quality issues related with COPQ
Ongoing Optimization: Contribute to ongoing product and process optimization, focusing on performance, cost reduction, and technological advancement
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Data-Driven Mindset: Strong passion for and curiosity about exploring the relationship between data and real-world processes, with a hands-on approach to engineering studies
Quality: A solid background in leading core quality tools like MSA, pFMEA, SPC
Lean: A solid background in lean manufacturing principles and techniques
Engineering Expertise: Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in the context of manufacturing quality
Relevant Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in a related field
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships quickly across teams
English Proficiency: Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential
