Role Overview
He will mainly focus on scope understanding, technical support, tender preparation of technical deliverables. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within a dynamic and progressive company.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Junior Technical Engineer, he will be eager to learn, exposed to new technologies such as AI, have inquisitive mind, will be working with a young dynamic team under the guidance of the Tender Manager to whom he will be reporting. His responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support to the team.
o Review and assess the technical components of the tender documents and requests for proposals.
o Work on tender development from a technical perspective, assist in writing work methodologies, calculating resources, preparing program of work, as well as other proposals required deliverables.
o Prepare technical reports for tenders and ongoing projects.
o Assist in conducting inspections and quality control.
o Precision thinking and self awareness are key attributes to acquire and strengthen.
- Coordinate with other departments of the company.
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate approaches, solutions and technologies to meet emerging needs.
Technical Skills (available and to be developed):
- Waste Management Knowledge: Proficiency in waste management principles, regulations, and best practices is a plus.
- Engineering Design: Experience in designing waste disposal systems is an advantage.
- Data Analysis: Skills to analyze waste-related data and propose effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
· Experience: 1 to 5 years in Design, construction, operation or supervision of projects. Solid Waste Management experience is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng.) in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. A master’s degree in engineering is also welcomed.
- Computer Software Proficiency:
o Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D is mandatory, AI applications abilities are a plus.
o Knowledge in project planning, resource management, and task scheduling is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
o Language: Fluent in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
o Communication: Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
o Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to address waste-related challenges creatively is a plus.
o Team Spirit: Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
