We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a complex embedded systems program involving multiple engineering disciplines. This role requires a highly proactive individual who can drive execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure that technical decisions are translated into measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining delivery momentum, managing risks, and ensuring accountability across concurrent work streams in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively participate in cross-functional technical meetings involving Software, Hardware, FPGA, Database, and Systems Engineering teams.
  • Translate technical discussions into actionable tasks, deliverables, and project updates.
  • Drive accountability by ensuring commitments, action items, and dependencies are tracked through to completion.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and delivery challenges, escalating issues proactively when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with program leadership to provide accurate project status updates and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple engineering work streams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Challenge assumptions, validate estimates, and facilitate decision-making to maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and critical paths to ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation, ticketing systems, and reporting tools.
  • Foster effective communication between technical teams while preserving a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

Profile Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience within technical, engineering, or embedded systems environments.
  • Strong understanding of embedded software development life cycles and engineering processes.
  • Experience working with hardware-software integration projects.
  • Ability to understand technical discussions and effectively communicate with engineering teams.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-team projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
  • Proficiency with project management and ticketing tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong ownership mentality with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives through completion.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work on-site in Markham on a full-time basis.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with FPGA, real-time systems, VME architectures, or database-driven engineering environments.
  • Scrum Master certification or experience leading Agile teams.
  • Experience supporting large-scale embedded software development programs.
  • Background in power systems, industrial automation, aerospace, transportation, or other complex engineering sectors.
  • Knowledge of systems integration and multidisciplinary product development environments.

Expected Compensation Range:

50K-90K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications , in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

Canadian Experience Requirement:

No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
