POSITION INFO:
A well-established vehicle dealership is looking for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team in Cape Town. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified technician with strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance experience within a corporate dealership environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Motor Mechanic with a Trade Test Certificate.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 4–5 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within a corporate vehicle dealership like Mercedes – Benz, Toyota, Ford, VW, etc.
- Experience working within a corporate vehicle dealership.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Valid SA Driver's Licence.
- Clear criminal record.
- Solid track record and contactable references.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general servicing and maintenance on vehicles.
- Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Repair and test vehicles booked into the workshop.
- Complete job cards accurately and within allocated times.
- Carry out warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment.
- Adhere to health, safety, and dealership procedures.
- Assist with technical problem-solving and quality control where required.
