Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and motivated Omani fresh graduate to join our engineering team as a Project Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for engineering, strong analytical skills, and a desire to grow into a project leadership role. You will receive structured mentorship and hands-on exposure to real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior project engineers and project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing engineering activities.
- Support the preparation of project documentation including method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
- Collect, organize, and analyze project data (progress, costs, resource usage) and assist in generating daily/weekly reports.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and technical meetings to understand construction/engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Identify potential technical problems and propose practical solutions under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and industry standards (ISO, OSHA, local regulations).
- Maintain project files, drawings, and correspondence using document control systems.
- Engage in continuous learning through training programs and on-the-job coaching.
Qualifications
- Nationality: Omani (mandatory).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial) from an accredited university.
- GPA: Minimum 2.8/4.0 or equivalent preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of AutoCAD, MS Project (or equivalent), and MS Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, teamwork, written and verbal communication (Arabic and English).
- Attributes: Eager to learn, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work under deadlines.
Training & Development: 6-month structured onboarding program with mentorship; sponsorship for EIT, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
KPIs: Accuracy and timeliness of reports (100%), number of technical solutions proposed, safety and quality compliance (zero incidents).
Reporting Line: Reports to Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager.
Working Conditions: Mix of office and project site environments; PPE provided.
